« Great price; good picture; user interface lacking. »

The price was great and the vender delivered quickly and without problem. Sound and picture are definitely an upgrade from my standard DVD player.

The Sony blu-ray player face has only very basic operations; other operations can only be performed with the remote. Some remote functions result in a message that the chosen action is "prohibited" with the installed disc. Which actions are "prohibited", and when, seems idiosyncratic. Consequently, I am still learning how to navigate through menus with a minimum of hassle.

Overall, I am quite happy with the product and very satisfied with the vendor.

« I bought 2 of them! »

Easy to use and set-up. Excellent picture and sound quality on Blu-Ray and DVD (home theater and HDTV required, of course). Easy to navigate remote control. Low price. Bought one for each HDTV in my home. Don't care at all about no eject button on the remote control; I have to get up to take the disc out of the unit anyway, so what's the big deal with hitting eject on the unit itelf?

This item is great for the price. It's just as good as higher end models but does not have all the extras. If you don't need the wifi and can plug it in for updates it's great. Plays every disk I throw at it. The upscale of regular DVD's looks good too.

« A fine unit »

This is my second Blu-Ray player, and it is much better than the first, more expensive one. It is much smaller and easier to use and the picture is sharper.
